Maria Clara B. Tankeh-Asuncion is a practitioner of
domestic and international law for almost fifteen years.
Atty. Asuncion was born in Manila, Philippines on November
4, 1959. Admitted to the Philippine Bar on May 30, 1987,
she graduated Bachelor of Science in Psychology from
the University of Santo Tomas in 1978-1982, and Bachelor
of Laws with Honors, Cum Laude. from the University
of Santo Tomas in 1982-1986.
A three (3) time scholar awardee of the prestigious
International Bar Association with offices at No. 271
Regent Street, London, England in 1991, 1995 and 1997,
Atty. Asuncion is also a Professor of Law, University
of Santo Tomas and Assumption College, Makati, 1990-1992.
Atty. Asuncion is an active member and officer at various
times of:
- The Integrated Bar of the Philippines,
Manila II Chapter
- Philippine Bar Association (PBA)
- Federacion Internacional de Abogadas (FIDA)
- Maritime Law Association (MARLAW)
- International Bar Association
- Catholic Lawyers Guild of the Philippines
- Women Trial Lawyers Organization
of the Philippines (WTLOP)
